I AM A SOLAR (AND GROUNDING)

POWERED HUMAN BEING!

I don’t know, guys, but ever since I started hiking barefoot (grounding), spending more time outdoors in the sun without sunblock, doing cold plunges, and practicing yoga, my whole body has transformed to a 2.0 version of itself! And it’s not just physical—it’s been a physiological and spiritual shift too. It only took me two years to figure this out! Ha!

I understand this path isn’t for everyone, but finding my truth required deep mental, physical, and spiritual work. It’s been a journey of self-discovery that took commitment on every level.

I started this journey in 2024 because I had so many questions. When I first tried the hiking challenge, I assumed my body just needed more food and nutrients—but something inside me told me that wasn’t the real issue. During the open-water solo swim challenge in San Diego, I prepared by buying all kinds of food and supplements: protein bars, bananas, energy snacks… and I barely used any of it.

That’s when I started asking myself real questions. If I can bike 100 miles without training (maybe one or two days of training only, ha!)  and swim 7 miles without needing huge amounts of food, then why are we constantly told that we need so much of it – especially to use highly processed food that’s pushed everywhere? When I used to play in tennis tournaments, everyone insisted on pasta and carbs for “energy,” but it was the opposite.  Ironically, I have more energy now than I did back then.

For me, the shift happened when I started grounding, spending more time in the sun and nature—Eating simply, staying mindful of what I put in my body, connecting with nature, spending time with animals, grounding, meditating, and following the values God set for us… When you eat hight electric foods (the vegan diet), obey God’s laws,  abstain from worldly things,  meditate, stay connected to nature, and animals you align with the Universe, and it will start providing everything for you. All of that brought me into alignment. And when I felt aligned, the universe began to align with me, too.

After two years (It has actually been since 2012)  searching, experimenting, and listening to my body and spirit… yes, I guess you can say I finally found my path!

I AM

THE SUN!

Since I started grounding and stopped using sunblock, my body has gone through a complete transformation. I don’t get hungry the way I used to. Now I eat just one meal a day, and I can comfortably fast for 15 hours during the week and around 20 hours on weekends—without feeling tired, even after working out.

During the week, I train for 1–2 hours. On weekends, I usually hike for about an hour and a half, then swim for 1–2 hours, and go to a 90-minute Bikram yoga class. Sometimes I add the ‘Open Your Spine’ class—because that class is therapeutic to me, and I can’t skip it! And I do all of this on an empty stomach.

THE SUN AND GROUNDING ARE

 ENERGY FOR THE BODY!

No wonder the system wants you to wear sunblock and keep you inside a building most throughtout the day, they keep you eating more and overweight too!!

When I spend the whole day inside a building or away from sunlight, my body responds with more hunger and restlessness. It makes me think about how modern routines and structures shape the way we eat, live, and feel.

When I fast, I only drink water with lemon, Celtic salt, and chlorophyll. It is sooo good! It feels more refreshing than plain water!  When I do this, my body doesn’t need a lot of water as I used to. (I also have my matcha with coconut water and Lavender. That drink is heaven to me!)

We must evolve the body and make it work how nature intended, not how the system says so. I don’t want to sound like I am bragging about it. I’m just sharing this to show you don’t have to be a prisoner of what the system programmed you to believe to do. Especially when they advertise all these fast and processed foods.

The world is changing, and if we don’t learn to protect and take care of our health, we won’t be able to do anything. If you get sick, the system will have control of your whole being. (They will prescribe drugs for every problem you have, then they will create  addiction, and the list goes on until your body can’t handle it anymore)

No one can tell you what to do. You can only find your truth the moment you decide you want to change and ask God for guidance.

On other news! This Summer, I got lost in the mountains! Ha! The story of my life!  I went to charge my car, so while I was waiting, I decided to go hiking… but I took a new route! (Don’t ever try a new hike, especially when it is hot and you have no water.) The day before this hike, I saw a couple going in that direction, so I thought it was a good opportunity to do that hike. I was wrong! ha! I was going up, and up and up. It started to get steeper and steeper until I started climbing. Literally. Ha! I didn’t see a clear path after that. My fight or flight system started to kick in! I didn’t know what way to go. Going back down wasn’t an option.  Instead of continuing to go up, I continue going to the right. Bad move! But as I kept waking, I saw white arrows painted on the rocks. So, I followed it. I saw another arrow and another one until I reached a dead end. I looked down, and it was a big cliff. Me: “Uh, oh,”  The sun was already behind the mountains, and if I didn’t find a way out, I would have been in trouble, especially because I didn’t have water. I knew the only way out was to keep going up! I started running up like crazy! I had to go through big boulders. I was running non-stop. My throat started to feel really dry…(not only because of lack of water but because when you are in a flight or fight mode you don’t produce saliva)  Then, I started to think of, “what if a snake” “what if my feet get stuck in a rock” “what if I fall and I am unable to walk” My heart started to beat faster. I had my cell phone with me so if anything, I could have called 911. But…I knew that ride wasn’t going to be free, lol, so I said, “You figure a way out first!” So I kept running and running up. Then I saw a lady up high. Phew! I tried to yell out, so she could hear me, but I couldn’t yell! I had no voice to yell out  lol But I kept going up until she heard me. She was so nice. She actually walked down to help me and gave me water. She opened her backpack and gave me ice she had in a Ziploc bag. She was an angel! I explained everything, and she said, “That happened to me once, but I was with someone. I am glad you are ok.” She even wanted to give me her water. I said thank you and hugged her. I ran down like crazy! Lol I left my car charging, so I had to rush back. Ok, lesson learned.

Overweight and obesity are escalating global health crises, with over 1 billion people affected by obesity worldwide, rising rates in both adults (around 40% in the US) and children, driven by sedentary lifestyles, increased screen time, and readily available high-calorie foods, leading to serious health issues like heart disease, diabetes, certain cancers, and increased medical costs, disproportionately impacting some racial/ethnic groups and socioeconomic levels.

Prevalence & Trends:

  • Global Scale: Over 1 billion people globally are living with obesity, including 650 million adults, 340 million adolescents, and 39 million children (WHO, 2022 data).
  • US Trends: About 40% of U.S. adults are obese, with nearly 10% classified as severely obese (2021-2023 data), a significant rise from past decades. Childhood obesity has also tripled since the 1970s.
Causes & Contributing Factors:
  • Environmental Shifts: Widespread availability of high-calorie, cheap foods, increased dining out, larger portion sizes, and heavy advertising.
  • Reduced Activity: Technological innovations, car-dependent communities, and cuts to school physical education have reduced daily physical activity.
  • Behavioral Patterns: High screen time (TV, computers, video games) is linked to higher Body Mass Index (BMI).
Health Consequences:
  • Cardiovascular Disease: Increased risk for heart attack, heart failure, high blood pressure, and stroke.
  • Metabolic Issues: Higher blood glucose and cholesterol levels.
  • Other Risks: Sleep apnea, osteoarthritis, and increased risk for common cancers (breast, colorectal, liver, kidney).
Economic Impact:
  • Higher medical costs for individuals with obesity, adding billions in annual expenditures.
Disparities:
  • Obesity prevalence differs by race, ethnicity, and education, with Black and Hispanic adults often facing higher rates, while Asian adults generally have lower rates.
